Edwin Starr was a regular performer at the famous 'Twisted Wheel' Nightclub in Manchester during his career at Motown. May I recommend that you read the excellent book entitled CENtral 1179 which is currently available at all good book shops via Bee Cool publishing. This book written by ex wheel members Phil Scott and Keith Rylatt charts the clubs history from 1963 until its closure in January 1971.
